Princess Maker 2

Princess Maker 2

Comments: Boy was this a laugh! I seriously thought it would be the crappest thing on the planet... until I started playing. Suddenly, without any warning, I had become addicted. This is a simple little dos-run game where you have to raise your 10 year old daughter to become a great princess and, in general, a good human being.

While being a totally addictive game, it does have it's flaws, such as:

1. When you first start out, you run out of money rather quickly if you have no idea what you're doing. This becomes frustrating when you realise you have $20 for her birthday and you can't buy her something. Phooey!
2. You can only talk to her once? What the hell is up with that? Why can't you do ALL the damn options? I think I'd like to have more of a meaningful conversation with her rather than a "How is she going?" where she replies "I'm busy right now, can we talk later?".... Sure honey, I'm just going broke paying for your schooling and you won't even say Hi. -__-
3. She runs away and you lose a month. This just pissed me off. I mean... How are you supposed to know when she's annoyed enough to do that? There's no "happiness" meter, so to speak, so you have no idea when she's feeling moody enough to bail out on you.
4. You take her on a winter holiday to the beach... because that's fun! Not being from America, which I'm just assuming it follows the seasons of, I have no idea when it's summer, winter, spring or autumn. Why can't it tell you somewhere?... saves me wasting $170 going to a freezing cold beach...

Look, I'm sure there are more but I got bored and frustrated trying to finish this when all I ended up being, despite all my damn hard work, was a bloody housewife! So I started again, cheated and got a heap of money and am training her rather cruelly to be a soldier. Because she can. Also, another thing that bothers me... I read that she can marry you (as in her father)... Ummm... does anyone else see a problem with that? I mean, sure, you're not her real father per se but... it's wrong. Why would any father agree to that? Geez... she's better off marrying Cube... and I hate him!!
